Over one million people have been bereaved since lockdown began. Many have been unable to say their final goodbyes or seek comfort in the presence of their loved ones.

Written for Marie Curie by 2020 UK Poetry Slam Champion, Tyrone Lewis, this poem describes the pain of grief during lockdown, and why we need time to remember the loved ones we’ve lost.

Marie Curie’s #UniteInMemory campaign is calling for a national day to reflect on and remember the lives of the people who’ve died during this time.
